Good News! Update: 5-15-07
Chloe is doing MUCH better and may be able to go home on Thursday if her "wellness number" is at 500 or greater. It was 189 on Sunday so keep praying that her little body gets stronger. I have nothing but good news today. Carla Rael is here, she flew in yesterday and spent the afternoon with Chloe while David and I grabbed a bite to eat (at Pick up Stix ha ha)and then went back to the hospital. Hannah's teacher took her and Ashley in her yellow convertible Mini Cooper to the mall and so they also had a great time last night. Chloe was taken off oxygen yesterday and is doing so much better. Her pneumonia is gone! She is having a port-a-cath placed in her chest this morning so please pray for her and David and of course the Dr's hands. She will have another bone marrow aspiration on Thursday before she can go home, and they put her under for that as well. She gets pretty cranky when coming out of the procedures, but she is determined to get well so she can come home. Carla and I are working to get the house ready (clean) this morning and her room pretty sterile so that it is a safe place for her to come home to. Pray for Hannah to get well, she has a cold and will be a risk to Chloe as soon as she gets home. I am very excited to have Chloe home and scared at the same time. The Lord has been with us every step of the way and I know that He will not forsake us. I feel very joyful this morning even though the reality of our daughter having Leukemia is starting to set in. It is not the end of the world and with God's grace and mercy, we as a family are going to make it! We can not say enough how much love and support we feel from all of our family and loved ones. I especially can't imagine going through something like this without the family of God, what a terrifying thought! We have been so blessed to come home from the hospital and find cards, emails and bebo comments to keep us going. We read each and every one of them and just know that it is giving us strength to keep going, even as weary as we are.
