2005 is just around the corner. This year I will be attending my home church's Youth Camp (Medford, OR.) I am really excited to go back to my old stomping grounds. Many memories were made for me at Mt. Lakes Bible Camp.
I'm not too sure how many of you will be attending your local youth camp or that of another branch church, but I thought I would take a moment and ask those who visit my blogg to comment on their most memorable time at Youth Camp. Weather it be funny or serious, lets share our memories of Youth Camp w/ each other...

Oh how well I remember this particular skit. As I re-call your cabin had the most hilarious "Fruit" to act out. If I'm not mistaken I think I saw your cabin practicing for this, but at the time I wasn't sure if they were practicing or actually acting as they normaly did in the cabin.
So although this may not be as funny as yours was. I will never forget the year that Katie Wallace (now Wakefield) and I were counselor's of the also famous Bed-Wetters. One thing I remember happening daily was that after Bro. Ted talked about cleaning your cabin and winning the clean cabin award, our girls thought it would be most neccesary to sweep the dirt around the cabin, that this would for sure win us the clean cabin award. Funny thing is we won it most of the week. The other memory that comes to my mind is the last night of Youth Camp (same year) Every year on the last night of camp the cabins are allowed to have a little party and stay up a little laiter than normal. Katie and I both thought we were in for it, that for sure these girls were gonna stay up all night giggling. Come to find out they were all exhausted from the weeks activities that they were all asleep before Mid-Night. Talk about music to our ears. Katie and I both ended up in the Mess Hall with some other counselors playing games.
Anyone remember the year that Bryan and the cooks had it out for each other the entire week of camp? Oh wait, isn't that every year?
Hmmm. Memories. How about being attacked by the cooks with the aide of the councillors. Yah, that was memorable.
Let's see.... watching Clifton Kasper go to bed at night in tighty-whities and a t-shirt... that was memorable.
Sitting on a soaking wet rag... that was memorable.
Ahhh...memories.
Well I can say that I do remember some of Bryan's memories. The one that is most profound in my mind is the one of you getting attacked by the cooks with yes the aid of the counselor's = )
What a great memory that one is. I'm sure a lot of people share that same memory.
As for the thing w/ Bro. Clif maybe that should have stayed between you and your cabin??
Well, I feel slightly obligated to get in a good word about Washington Youth Camp memories... Bottle rockets were always slightly adventuresome... the first year my rocket tied for going the furthest. It was also interesting to see Matthew counsel a cabin of boys single handedly with naught but two cases of soda and the promise of a movie on my lap top at the end of the week. He thought he was going to be a cook... *ha* And then there was the ongoing struggle to get people to say the word "mine" so they would have to do pushups. Good times...
Nah, come on! Do you really think Bro. Clif is a boxer man?
Now come to think of it, he might be...
